Must-Try Festival Beverages At Up the Creek 2020

Good times in the sun, floating on the Breede River with great music and your mates – what more could you ask for?

Up the Creek aims to continue its tradition of kicking off South Africa’s live music season in an all-consuming manner for the 30th year. Apart from the a-list music lineup, the organizers have the mix of beverages available at this year’s festival down to a science, diligently providing a great variety of lubricants to help festival-goers cool off in the blazing sun.

Aside from the regulars Jägermeister and Savanna, here are some hidden gems within the festival grounds that are an absolute must-try.

Titanic

If you’re familiar with Up the Creek, you’ll know that the festival’s signature drink is the ‘Titanic’. It’s blue and contains a large amount of cane mixed with lime cordial and sprite in a big plastic cup.  These are a treat in the heat and after a couple, you won’t see the iceberg coming!

Root 56

This wild Jägermeister cocktail uses ginger beer, cucumber, and lime wedges to deliver a simple and refreshing mixed drink that all Jäger Creekers will love.

Rubber Duck

The Rubber Duck is a mix of vodka, Sedgwick`s and OJ. It’s a refreshing drink for those scorching hot days at the Breede.

Granitas

JC Le Roux bubbly served slushie style.

Mimosas

Nothing like a mimosa to get you started in the morning!

Jägermeister Bar

Head on over to the Jägermeister Bar where a Jager Mixologist will shake up some rad Root 56 and Oh’ Deer cocktails.

Other drinks options include Savanna Cider, Klippies & Cola, Gordons Gin, Scottish Leader, JC le Roux, 2 Ocean Wine and Fitch & Leeds.
