New look Grenache and new releases from Waverley Hills

Waverley Hills Organic Wines will be releasing 4 new vintages from the beginning of March 2016 as the previous vintages are phased out.

The first exciting news is the re-launch of the 2015 vintage, of the already popular, Waverley Hills Grenache into the Waverley Hills Premium range. The first 3 vintages was part of the Estate range, but the decision was made to promote the 2015 vintage to the Estate range, after the vines seemed to have matured enough to start producing more complex wines. Winemaker, Johan Delport, said that he has “very high hopes” for this wine.

The Waverley Hills 2013 MCC Brut will also be released in March. Only a limited production of the 2013 vintage was made, because of hail damage during the growing season in November of 2012.

The 2012 vintage of the Waverley Hills SMV will also see the light soon. It follows on the other multiple award winning vintages from 2009 to 2011. According to Johan Delport the 2012 vintage is just as good as the amazing 2011 vintage, if not better.

Also, the old favourite Waverley Hills Cabernet Sauvignon/Shiraz, with screwcap, will also change over to the 2015 vintage during March.
