New Winter Menu and Lunch Special at Glen Carlou

Our fireplace is lit, the temperature has dropped and the rain has fallen – Winter has come, and so also our new seasonal menu.

If you are thinking hearty, comfort food – lamb shanks, beef cheeks, homemade pasta and baked desserts, then the new menu ticks all the boxes. Chef Johan Stander has created a menu of classics, with a rich and decadent edge, that is both beautiful and full of flavour.

Whether you call it sustainable-eating or indulging in local produce – seasonality plays a significant role in creating the Glen Carlou menu. Not only does Chef only use seasonal produce, but he evokes the feelings of comfort and warmth associated with the season.

What makes this menu truly special, is how well it showcases the Glen Carlou wine portfolio. Each dish is paired meticulously – highlighting the characteristics of the wine and complementing the nuances within each dish.
