The song titled ‘I Like OJ‘ is raking up millions of views on youtube, only hours after it was upload. One would think that with orange juice out of favour with millennials the last thing it needs is an ear numbing anthem that will drive us all nuts in the next few days.
OJ Under Pressure
Orange Juice sales have been in decline for the last 15 years in the US. Reasons range from too sugary to the unexpected price increase due to the “citrus greening” disease that hit Florida in 2005, but mainly Orange Juice just became boring.
However big corporates have no intention to let OJ slide down the drain without a fight.
This month PepsiCo bought advertising on Ashton Kutcher’s A Plus website to help promote good old OJ. Thanks to Kutcher’s star power, the video was subsequently shared by his celebrity buddies and done the hard miles online.
