PIWOSA Enthrall and Enchant at their CapeWine 2018 Zeitz MOCAA Party

Premium Independent Wineries of South Africa (PIWOSA), well-known internationally for their execution of innovative marketing programmes, demonstrated their creative flair with aplomb during CapeWine 2018. With a passion for the theatrical, PIWOSA pulled out all the stops and hosted a spectacular and surreal party at the Zeitz Museum of Contemporary Art Africa (Zeitz MOCAA), enthralling and enchanting their guests from around the world.

A masterpiece of architectural brilliance and a grand repository for thousands of African artworks, The Zeitz MOCAA was an incredible backdrop for PIWOSA’s absolutely fabulous celebration of #LiquidArt. On entering the magnificent cathedral-like atrium, the remarkable heart of the museum, guests were blown away by the grandiose size, scale and design of the Zeitz MOCAA, a concrete amphitheatre filled with light from above. Enter a crazy crew of outlandish human art, bid the mundane farewell and welcome a world of magic and mystery: with weird and wonderful costumed characters, stilt-walkers, musicians, and other bizarre performers filling the astounding space with colour, movement, music, laughter and surprise. Delightful enjoyment ensued snapping once-in-a-lifetime selfies on all the props and interacting with the extraordinary characters roaming about.  A sumptuous dinner with a selection of the best PIWOSA wines, hosted by the estate owners and winemakers, followed on the top floor of the museum, overlooking the whole of Cape Town by night. It most certainly was a night to remember!

Formed in 2013 with full support from Wines of South Africa (WOSA), PIWOSA is a collective of eleven likeminded, dynamic, independent wine producers. Operating as a united force, the members travel extensively, hosting ingenious presentations in targeted export markets to capture attention, re-set opinions and build a positive reputation and increased demand for all premium South African wines. 76 unique and inventive events have been executed internationally, and a further 20 events are already planned to take place internationally by 2020.
