After many Saturdays attending to guests we had a “Day Off” and meandered to Hermanuspietersfontein just 2,4 kms from the Manor to see what they have to offer… Wow, what an awesome vibe awaited us. As we got out the car you could hear the one man band strumming his guitar and singing all our old time favourites…

We strolled to the winery where the staff were sorting grapes with the confidence and expertise that made it look like it was second nature to them. I sampled a bottle of their “Posmeester” blend which was served with flair by one of their knowledgeable wine stewards – the wine was easy on the palet and one bottle soon became two. We sat at one of their wooden tressel tables and started chatting to other patrons whom shared the table with us. Sharing tables is always lots of fun and we both enjoy meeting new people and sharing our experiences and knowledge about our beautiful Hermanus. The delicacies served by local & organic farms and bakers was enjoyed by all and the varieties served met everyone’s taste sensations and exceeded expectations. We initially intended to spend a hour or so at Hermanuspietersfontein but with all they had to offer and the perfect “Saturday Day Out” we spent the better part of our day with them (we only left when everyone had packed up) On a scale of 1 to 10 we score the Team a perfect 10. Well done and we will be back.
