Pretend it’s Spring, drink Pecan Stream Chenin Blanc

Yesterday was a particularly long and dire Monday, so I’m (eeeek!) a day late with my weekly trolley filler. Luckily I can make up for my tardiness with a very sexy little wine indeed: the Pecan Stream Chenin Blanc 2013.

Now, I know that Winter is fast approaching and it seems more appropriate to be quaffing red wines. But the Pecan Stream Chenin Blanc is such a cheeky little number that it should be on your shelves all year long. If it’s cold and rainy outside, then have a sip of this wine and you’ll be transported to a place of sunshine, pretty flowers and lambs prancing in green fields with butterflies and rainbows. Now doesn’t that sound good?

Taste it and you’ll see what I mean: the wine has a crisp, zesty vibe with a zippy dash of fruity flavours. There’s also a dash of Viognier in this Chenin, which creates a delicious flowery taste. Even the lively yellowy green colour reminds me of being in a sunny garden. Bliss!

On that note, I’m going to ignore the fact that I have two heaters on and that I’m wearing a beanie. Pecan Stream, take me forth to Spring!
