Umhlanga Food and Music Festival: Saturday 2 August

What better way to celebrate the weekend than spending it listening to the smooth sounds of local artists while taking in the delicious sights, smells and flavours at the Umhlanga Food and Music Festival?

Taking place on Saturday, 2 August at Chris Saunders Park in Umhlanga; this festival is a glorious amalgamation of local music, food and beer. Spoil yourself with the chilled sounds produced by the talented Matthew Mole, The Kickstands and Majozi. If you haven’t witnessed any of these local lads live then now is the time to seize the moment and take advantage of the opportunity!

While spoiling your ears, be sure to also treat the rest of your senses to the tempting smells and flavours of the local artisan food being offered. The ever-popular Café Strawberry will be there to spoil you with their Strawberry cocktails, and Strawberries and Cream.

The Delish Sisters will also be there in full force to spoil you with their delicious wraps and to-die-for chocolate brownies. Another must-try will be the Journey Café! With their menu that includes everything from Asian-style pulled pork on a sweet potato bun, to Guinness Stout cupcakes with Chocolate whiskey ganache and Amarula frosting, you definitely won’t be limited for choice! Speaking about Stout, there is also going to be a wide variety of the finest, most flavourful craft beers that South Africa has to offer…

This festival is a truly great event that will be a treat for all five of your senses and is definitely not one to be missed! 
Tickets can be bought online for R100, or at the gate for R120. Kids under 8 are free.  Gates open at 12pm, and stay open until 8pm.
