Firstly, my apologies that this is written in English rather than Afrikaans but I am an Aussie so my Afrikaans is so limited as to be useless. Secondly, a bit of a story. While spending some time in ZA we came to really appreciate Hermanuspietersfontein wines. We loved the story behind the brand and visited your cellar door on a couple of occasions. It’s not like we have a shortage of good wines in Australia, but we enjoyed your brand so much we chose to ship back a couple of dozen of your 2011 No.7 Savvy B when we returned to Australia. We have treasured each bottle we have opened over these last couple of years, opening them sparingly on occasions that meant something special to us, worrying whether we were holding on too long, but finding that if anything the wine was getting better with some age. The nose and mouthfuls in each glass brought back all the great memories we have of our time in ZA – fantastic!. Tonight the last of our bottles was opened, with my wife preparing a terrific Tuna Steak meal to ensure it went down with style.
So, why this email ? – I just wanted to thank you and your team for this terrific wine and for delivering such a pleasurable product to us. Simply, we appreciated your teams efforts and wanted to let you all know.
