Another week vanished into the mists of time. The year is already a quarter of the way done when the hell did that happen!? To combat the onset of existential ennui I have what should hopefully be a pretty good list of all the places to get your dance on if you decided not to go away this long weekend (because everyone knows the cure to existential ennui is just to dance it away).

Tonight Levis is helping us pay tribute to the great venues foster the great local music that South Africa is literally spewing out into the world at the moment. The Assembly in Cape Town, Arcade Empire in Pretoria, and Kitcheners are all hosting epic gigs with amazing line ups. Joburg’s one is obviously the best with the likes of Glass Swan and Gil Hockman on the line up. The best bit is that it’s all free if you have a Levi’s something on.

And finally on Sunday head on down to the April Vinyl fair at Katy’s Palace bar and get something to jam to at home, because everyone knows all the best moves come out when you’re home alone, everything is turned up to eleven and you just let loose. The vinyl fair has become a bit of an institution and is the highlight of the month for every joburg based vinyl junkie.
