Robert Hodgins passed away yesterday. Almost ninety, Robert was an institution on the Johannesburg art scene for decades and will be missed. I bought two of his paintings at a Champagne Festival at Melrose Arch a couple of years ago.

It took Shaun Anderson, organizer of the show, several months to start speaking to me again as he had his eye on them.
