There wasn’t space to swing a spittoon last night at the Pendock Wine Gallery @ Taj as Wellington came to town and let its hair down. Ten of their very best were showcased to Cape Town and the verdict was a huge thumbs up for the appellation.

The exhibition was opened by Johan Fourie from Doolhof – one of four Fouries present – and winemakers – who all seemed to be called Neil – from Dunstone, Doolhof, Welbedacht, Linton Park, Diemersfontein and Wellington Wines were amazingly loquacious and spoke proudly of their wines.

If only we had the resources for a Pendock Wine Gallery @ Johanneburg, then we’d be able to move stock, too!
