Weltevrede Wows Bordeaux

When Arlo Guthrie came into Los Angeles back in 1969, he famously was bringing in a couple of keys. When yours truly landed in Bordeaux last week I was bringing in 187ml of Sauvignon Blanc. Nothing strange about that although it is a bit of a Coals to Newcastle scenario as Bordeaux makes some of the world’s best Sauvvy.

But what was strange was that it hailed from South Africa and was the white wine offering in Business Class on KLM. Called With!t from Weltevrede, it confirms just how international the world of wine has become and just how business oriented KLM buyers are. Unlike those from SAA who seemingly choose on-board offerings according to the size of bribe received.
