Red Blends Rule

Part II of our weekly RECM Best Value tasting of red blends grew like Topsy and a cutoff had to be made at 55 wines. So adding the 48 tasted last week and submissions for this single category were over 100. Which makes Robin von Holdt’s recent Ultra Value copycat exercise look pretty anemic. But then producers had to pay Robin a fat fee to enter the Bat Cave whereas our ratings are freely awarded. Come along to the Pendock Wine Gallery @ Taj this afternoon from 5-7pm if you’d like to taste the famous 55. Top scorers were

Stellenrust Timeless 2012 score 16.20 price R130.00
