UK loses its taste for SA wine

The latest SA wine export numbers to the UK make an unpleasant Christmas present for WOSA, marketers of brand SA in Blighty.

In spite of a terminally weak Randela/Pound exchange rate, SA was by far the worst performer of Southern Hemisphere producers. The much anticipated bounce in orders following Cape Wine 2015 failed to materialize and industry groot koppe will be wondering how to energize WOSA in 2016 as they dive for kreef at Vleesbaai. Under Queen Su, WOSA lurched from disaster to disaster. Under the new regime, they don’t seem to do much of anything at all.

Perhaps SA wine marketing should be outsourced to the people who promote New Zealand wine which totally outperforms SA in all categories.
