LEELANAU COUNTY, Mich. , (WPBN/WGTU) — People in northern Michigan know wine from Leelanau County is great, now it’s being recognized nationwide. The Leelanau Wine Trail was named third best wine region in the country according to 10Best Readers’ Choice travel award contest by USA Today. The wine trail was also named Best Overall Wine Region in Michigan by Michigan by the Bottle Readers’ Choice Awards.
