Investors in the world’s most valuable alcohol company, Kweichow Moutai, needed a slug of its baijiu when it announced its results for the three months to the end of March. The Chinese company’s revenues grew by 12% compared with the same period last year, and net income rose by 6.6% ? far less than two of its closest competitors.
