Each picnic basket costs R235, and you’ll find ostrich meatballs, fresh farm bread, smoked snoek pâté, a bottle of Delheim wine, and all sorts of other delicious treats in there (you can find the details here). Star-filled skies, classical guitar melodies, and beautiful surroundings will make for a most romantic evening.

There’s also a cupcake and wine pairing at R75 per person for four taste combinations, which is available between 09h00 and 16h30 seven days a week (pre-booking essential).

Glen Carlou Winery, Paarl

Fine food and wine with live music combine to ensure a romantic evening at this wine farm boasting beautiful views of the valley. Starting at 19h00, they will be serving a five-course meal with truffles and coffee included at R375 per person (you’ll have to pay for wine separately).
