Singer Mary J. Blige Drops A Wine Range Called ‘Sun Goddess’

Singer, songwriter, and actress Mary J. Blige has announced the release of her new wine label called “Sun Goddess Wines.”

Blige made the announcement via Instagram video on Sunday. She followed it up with a post on Monday, stating:

“It’s finally here! I’ve been creating this for [three] years now and I hope this brings you some joy during these trying times.”

The Sun Goddess wine range consist out of two wines: a complex, full-bodied Pinot Grigio Ramato and an aromatic, velvety-smooth Sauvignon Blanc.

The wines are produced by family-owned Italian winery Fantinel and made from grapes throughout the Friuli Venezia Giulia region.

In a press release from the winery, CEO Marco Fantinel commented on the partnership with the singer, saying: “From day one, it was clear she shares our philosophy for producing wines of the highest quality.”

Fantinel added: “We could not think of a better partner and collaborator to bring customers these beautiful new wines.”

Blige echoed his remarks on the partnership and the wines that she first fell in love with during a wine tasting at Fantinel Vineyards.

“At that moment, I felt the same magical energy I have long tried to capture from the sun and knew this was an incredible opportunity to partner with someone who shared that passion.”

The Sun Goddess wine collection will be available in stores from August 2020 and will retail at $20 a bottle, respectively. Pre-orders are available online.
