Not to long ago Slipknot joined the likes of Metallica and Motörhead in the whiskey business when they teamed up with U.S. company Cedar Ridge Distillery, released their No. 9 Iowa Whiskey Reserve.

The Tennessee bourbon was chosen as the “best celebrity-related whiskey” by Forbes.

Forbes’ in-house whiskey expert Fred Minnick – byline: “I cover spirits, the drinks culture and business” – called it “really good” in his tasting, awarding high marks for its “hints of honeysuckle and lily”, “corn and caramel” flavours, and its touch of “charred marshmallow”.

Speaking about the whiskey collab last year, Clown said: “Slipknot and Cedar Ridge Distillery – two groups of people born and raised in Iowa, and committed to quality and hard work.”

“We collaborated on No. 9 Whiskey, which in addition to Iowa corn, gets some extra spice from its rye content. I hope you enjoy it as much as we do. Live life, and always be safe.”
