Snoop Dogg Breaks World Record For Biggest Gin And Juice

This weekend rapper Snoop Dogg managed to set a new Guinness World Record for the biggest paradise cocktail ever — and it was made of gin and juice, of course.

Taking the Williams Sonoma Culinary Stage at the BottleRock Napa Valley festival, Dogg joined rapper Warren G and “Top Chef” season six winner Michael Voltaggio in mixing up a mighty strong cocktail that included 180 bottles of Hendricks gin and a large amount of juice in a container that was five feet tall and three feet wide, the Mercury News reports. The drink was a nod to Dogg’s 1995 Grammy Award for Best Rap Solo Performance nominated “Gin and Juice” track from his 1993 debut album Doggystyle, which went quadruple platinum.

According to Esquire, a Paradise cocktail has gin, brandy, orange juice, and lemon juice. Dogg’s XXXL drink came with a very large cocktail umbrella and a straw that was taller than the hip hop star.

After the super-sized cocktail was created, Dogg and his fellow mixers were presented with a Guinness World Record certificate confirming the record-setting event that read: “The largest paradise cocktail was achieved by Snoop Dogg, Warren G, Michael Voltaggio, Kim Kaechele, and Kendall Coleman (All USA) in Napa, California, USA on 26 May 2018.” Dogg shared the news with the 23.5 million followers of his Instagram feed in two posts.

Dogg holds the number 10 spot on the The Top-Earning Hip-Hop Acts of the Decade Forbes list, pulling in an estimated $124 million. His ventures into the culinary world have been at least partly mentored by his friend Martha Stewart. “She lets me do me and accepts me for who I am,” Dogg said of his relationship with Stewart, who has made appearances on various Forbes lists over the years. Last year, the duo were nominated for an Outstanding Host for a Reality Competition Emmy for their VH1 show, “Martha and Snoop’s Potluck Dinner Party.” Eater described the show as “two media moguls/ex-cons cook a meal and make drinks for a series of ‘surprise’ celebrity guest.
