In this popular series we feature selected sommeliers from top restaurants around the world. Each chooses his or her favourite Creation wine, tells us why and recommends a matching dish. This week we welcome Charl Coetzee from the popular Italian restaurant Capeesh in Brooklyn, Pretoria.

I’ve been a fan of Creation Wines for about six years now and this is quite evident every time a wine list needs to be compiled! The Creation Merlot is one of my favourites; there simply isn’t another wine like it.

Celebrating Wine and Arts

The Saints series that is also exhibited in the Tasting Room focuses on the conservation of our planet, reaffirming the Creation belief that everything we do has an effect on everything around us!

Creation on prestigious Sommelier Selection wine list

Established by the South African Sommelier Association (SASA) the Sommeliers Selection is South Africa’s first wine competition judged solely by a panel of top South African sommeliers. The wines are judged blind and the winners, referred to as ‘Listed Wines’, appear on the prestigious Sommeliers Selection wine list which is distributed countrywide. Creation is proud indeed to have two of our wines on the 2016 list: the 2014 Creation Reserve Merlot and the 2016 African Reserve Penguin Pinot Noir Rosé.
