Summer Concert by Candlelight with Nataniël at Blaauwklippen

Over the past three decades, Nataniël has not only established himself as singer, songwriter, producer, director, designer and public speaker, but also as South Africa’s leading exponent of the solo stage act. On Thursday 28 November he will be performing at Blaauwklippen Vineyards in their opulent Glass Cathedral for a magical evening with storytelling and music by candlelight.

Nataniël launched his solo career in 1987 with the release of his first single. Since then he has released 19 albums, staged more than 80 original theatre productions and published 19 books. Outspoken and often controversial figure, he continuously crosses over from the alternative circuit to the main stage, generating extensive media coverage and a massive cult following. His popular Kaalkop column has been appearing in SARIE magazine for the past 17 years.

Renowned for Blaauwklippen’s magnificent scenery, historic setting and romantic atmosphere, the Glass Cathedral is the perfect venue for a truly unforgettable evening with one of South Africa’s most renowned performance artists.

Providing a strong contrast to the softer lines of the heritage buildings with a modern silhouette, the magical Glass Cathedral feels simultaneously part of the natural world around it, being surrounded by fields of grass and the Stellenbosch Mountain backdrop, as well as an ultra-contemporary space.

Guests have the option to attend the concert only, or to join the team at Hamm & Uys – the latest eatery added to Blaauwklippen estate – for dinner after the concert. The team curated a menu to perfectly complement an evening of opulence, elegance, style and decadence. Oysters Rockefeller, fire-roasted prawns, devilled eggs with salmon roe, a nostalgic avocado ritz, roast beef with duchess potatoes and a sweet ending of chocolate torte will form part of the five-course menu to round off a spectacular evening.

Tickets for the show cost R350 per person and R700 when dinner is included. Tickets are available from www.itickets.co.za . For more information, contact Blaauwklippen via [email protected]
