Pin Barton 1792 Distillery in Bardstown to your map next time you find yourself on the Bourbon Trail. Established in 1879, the historic Distillery grounds are home to the world’s largest whiskey barrel and carved bourbon bottle.

Sadly, catastrophe struck twice at the facility in 2018, when two warehouses collapsed, just days apart. The spillage, estimated at 954000 gallons worth of bourbon, leaked into a nearby stream and river, causing great harm to the local ecosystems.
