The combination of orange juice and tequila make this recipe a good choice if guests like their barbecue sweet. We suggest you pair this barbequed dish with beer or wine.

 

Ingredients

MARINADE

2 cups orange juice
3 ounces tequila

SAUCE

½ bottle of barbecue sauce
½ cup brown sugar
2 tablespoons butter
1 tablespoon honey
4 ounces tequila
½ cup of orange juice
½ teaspoon minced garlic
Black pepper, to taste

Instructions

Marinade a whole chicken, or equivalent amount of pieces, in orange juice and tequila mixture for 2 hours. Grill until internal temp reaches 165 degrees.

After the chicken is grilled, make the barbecue sauce.

In a medium saucepan over medium-low heat, stir barbecue sauce ingredients together. After 10 minutes, transfer sauce and chicken into a bowl and toss to coat chicken.

Grill coated chicken for 3 to 4 minutes.
