The Best Instagram Snaps of the 2017 Wine Harvest in South Africa

And that’s pretty much a wrap. The 2017 South African harvest was long and tough but in between the winemakers still took some time to keep us up to date on Instagram with snaps of their daily doings. This year saw 748 photos uploaded to Instagram with the hashtag #SAharvest2017, compared to last year’s 844. Although less, it seems a lot of contributes did not received the memo and tagged their posts as @harvest2017 instead. Either way, it gave us a beautiful peek into the hard work that is wine-making.

Here are our favourite posts that depict the South African wine harvest for 2017.

Bees are some of the hardest working creatures on the planet, and because of their laborious work ethic, we owe many thanks to this amazing yet often under appreciated insect. Our lives – and the world as a whole – would be a much different place if bees didn’t exist. Bees are responsible for pollinating about one-sixth of the flowering plant species worldwide and approximately 400 different agricultural types of plant. Love to see them whilst we are working –a little bit of nature on the crush pad this morning. . . #ThirstyThursday #SAharvest2017 #harvest2017 #Bosmanwines #heartWellington #hemelenaarde #pinotnoir #wyn #wine #vino #vin #wijn #vein #viini #duvin #wein #wino #vinho #wain #iwayini #grapes #harvest #vineyards #meetsouthafrica #bees #nature #macro #discoversouthafrica
