At $17.60 a beer, Lausanne in Switzerland is now the most expensive city in the world to buy a beer at a bar, according to the latest beer index report by GoEuro. Hong Kong, Paris and Zurich all tipped in at the top end with over $10 per beer.
If you’re strapped for cash head to a bar in Kiev, where a beer will only set you back $2.63. Outside of Europe your cheapest round will be in Cape Town, South Africa at $3.07, while buying a beer from the supermarket will cost you a measly $0.67
