Estelle Lourens was appointed winemaker at Uitkyk Wine Estate in October 2000, with a mandate to produce outstanding wines for one of the best-known labels in South Africa.

It was while working at the estate that Estelle became acquainted with the resident cat who whiles away her days sunning herself on the parapet of the historic manor house. This cat’s personality was the inspiration for the Flat Roof Manor range of wines: a range that reflects her unpretentious, quirky nature.

The Flat Roof Manor range echoes a relaxed and laid-back approach to the enjoyment of wines. They’re simple, day-to-day wines, ready to be enjoyed at any occasion.
