The UK Goverment consumed 5,390 bottles of wine last year

After a hard day of dismantling the NHS and trying to get more twitter followers, out politicians enjoy nothing more than cracking out a bottle of claret, if these stats are anything to go buy.

Wine Stats have compiled a report on the Government’s wine drinking habits, and it turns out they drink a lot.

The report not only shows the amount of wine consumed from the Government’s wine cellar in the 2014/15 year (5,390 bottles – which had an estimated worth of £69,433), but also where it came from.

Obviously a lot of the wine drunk came from England and Wales, however our lawmakers also seem to have an affinity for wine from Chile, wines from Bordeaux and Burgundy in France, and even some from New Zealand and France.
