This Caribbean Rum Tour Gets You Drunk and Contributes to Hurricane Relief

There are a number of ways to help residents of the Caribbean recover from the aftermath of multiple hurricanes, but CheapCaribbean’s newest tour is definitely the most fun. The company is currently planning a weeklong rum tour through the islands that features stops at some of the best and oldest distilleries in the region.

More than just the appeal of getting to indulge in delicious rum-based cocktails for a week, the company is trying to bring some much-needed tourism money back to the area and is also donating 20 percent of the proceeds to hurricane relief efforts. Visitors will start in Antigua before popping over to St. Kitts and Barbados via puddle jumper plane (which we assume is much easier on a boozy stomach than a boat would be).

Tours won’t begin until April 2018, but if you want to get in on the action, you must call to reserve your spot between October 17 and November 30, 2017. The fare will set you back $5,000, which isn’t exactly cheap, but it includes airfare, tours, hotels and transportation during the trip. And, of course, you get the chance to do some good like Sandra Bullock while drinking like Jack Sparrow.
