This man build his office out of beer bottles

Recent architecture-school graduate Li Rongjun got his post-collegiate career off to a headline-grabbing start by constructing his own office out of 8,500 beer bottles.

The young designer, who built the office on the second floor of his home, says that the project shows off his creativity. “I wanted to build an artistic and usable office,” he said. “This building is also my calling card for my future business plans. It will allow investors to see my products in real life and see my talent.”

According to China Daily, those thousands of beer bottles are lined up into 40 layers, creating a 300-square-foot room that is 9 feet high. It took Li and his father over four months and $11,000 to build the structure, the bottom floor of which is built with more conventional materials: mud and brick.
