The calculator asks you a few simple questions, like how many people are coming to your event, whether you’ll also serve cocktails or you’ll have a specific cocktail hour, whether you want a balance between red or white or more of one than the other, and what your extra bottle should be if you expect to have one. The math that the calculator uses is fairly simple—it assumes that each bottle of wine is about four standard glasses, and that each person will drink three.
