People are gradually becoming more active and wellness is taking center stage but can our cocktails also be healthy? While a healthy cocktail seems like somewhat of a contradiction, there are plenty of calorie-conscious cocktails that use fresh ingredients and boast far less calories than the usual go-to cocktails like margaritas, pina coladas and the likes.
If you want to keep you weight down, opt for one of these cocktails that call for avocado, cucumber, jalapeno and other fresh ingredients.
Avocado Cocktail
Ingredients
- 1 1/2 part tequila white
- 1/2 part of Cointreau
- 1 part fresh lime juice
- 1/2 part fresh lemon juice
- 1/4 cup of Avocados (cubed)
- 1/2 cup crushed ice
- Lemon slices
Instructions
- In a blender, blend all ingredients except lemon slices.
- Pour frozen mixture into a frosted glass.
- Serve and garnish with a slice of lemon.
Skinny Coconut Mojito
- 2 parts white Rum
- 2 parts coconut water
- 2 parts club soda
- ½ part Organic Agave Nectar
- ½ part lime fresh squeezed juice
- 3-4 mint leaves
Instructions
- In a glass, muddle the mint leaves with the agave nectar, lime juice and ice.
- Add the rum, coconut water and top with a splash of club soda.
- Use mint and lime wedge for garnish.
