Wines from the Boplaas Family Vineyards in Calitzdorp received top ratings in the 2016 Platter Wine Guide. No less than five wines were regarded worthy of five star nomination, of which two made it to the Platter five star list.

Boplaas Cape Vintage Reserve Port 2012 is one of the recipients of a 5 star rating. This reserve Port with its intense black colour and rich flavours of berries, violets and chocolate cake has the potential to age for 50 years and longer and is a blend of Touriga Nacional, Tinta Barocca and Souzao.

The Boplaas Heritage White Muscadel 2012 is the only fortified white muscadel that was awarded a 5 star rating in the latest Platter guide. Made from full-ripe handpicked Muscat de Frontignan grapes it has a rich honey, marmalade flavor and lovely intense yellow golden colour, with the alcohol well integrated and a lingering aftertaste.
