Tsogo Sun Hotels launches two new wine concept stores at The Cullinan and Southern Sun Waterfront

A varied selection of exceptional wines acquired at some of the country’s most prestigious wine auctions will now be available to discerning wine-lovers at Tsogo Sun Hotels’ properties; Southern Sun The Cullinan and Southern Sun Waterfront.

Historically the top bidder at some of SA’s most reputable auctions – Tsogo Sun Hotels has an established reputation for its exceptional wine lists, under its Collector’s Wine brand. The Collectors Wine Shop located at both properties will offer an extraordinary, yet affordable, collection of local wines for both locals and travelling tourists.  The retail store will be open to all – you don’t have to be a hotel guest to purchase any of the wines on offer.

Georgio Meletiou, Regional Sommelier says,” At Tsogo Sun Hotels our main focus is to create an authentic and memorable experience for all of our guests. The Collectors Wine Shop has been carefully curated and speaks directly to our customer demand.

“We were fortunate to secure some exceptional wines at great prices. Among the remarkable wines secured include the Kanonkop Cabernet Sauvignon 1997, De Toren Z 2010, Eikendal Infused by Earth Chardonnay 2016 (of which only 1 200 bottles were made), Nederburg Private Bin R163 Cabernet Sauvignon 2015, Allesverloren Cabernet Sauvignon 2001 and Plaisir de Merle Cabernet 2008.” concludes Meletiou.”

All of the wines acquired at the 2019 Cape Winemakers Guild, Cape Fine & Rare Wine and the Nedbank Cape Winemakers Guild Auction will be available for retail purchase at both stores from January 2020. While all other wines purchased in previous years are currently stocked at both locations.
