Two micro distilleries teamed-up to launch a new vodka made of artisan beer.

Cervezas La Virgen and SANTAMANIA Urban Distillery shake up the concept of traditional distillation with their new spirit, Vodka La Virgen SANTAMANIA.

Innovative vodka made from commercial beer launched in a limited edition of 740 bottles. With a distillation proof up to be considered as vodka still reminds features that guess its origin from beer.

This project was born from the good relation and close location of both companies in Madrid. Entrepreneur spirit of Cesar, Ana and Jaime (partners from La Virgen) and of Javier, Ramon and Victor, (their distiller neighbours from SANTAMANIA) was resumed by the self wonder “mantra” -“What would happen if we distillate beer, could we get beer’s vodka?. -”

La Virgen SANTAMANIA beer’s vodka uses up to 6 litres of beer, (a mix of handcraft lagers and ales from La Virgen) to create a bottle of Vodka La Virgen SANTAMANIA. A mix of the best beer for a peerless vodka that will not disappoint anyone.

A distillate with its own personality, with a graduation of 40º and creamy sense in the mouth, a very subtle touch of cereal and white chocolate in which we highlight the notes of hop and the citrus hints.
Both companies are committed to the environmental preservation and they have reflected this value in all the creation process of the CERVODKA, (as they like to call it), as well as the passion they have for the craft production, paying attention to all details. Beer with 100% natural products and of course no use of preservatives and artificial flavourings at the final Vodka.

To finish up a genuine product, the design of the packaging couldn’t be left up to fate, La Virgen and SANTAMANIA have developed an exclusive bottle with a minimalist look in which black and white are mixed with the counterpoint of ruby red. A little masterpiece to enjoy with all the senses of this unique Beer´s vodka La Virgen SANTAMANIA. A bottle that illustrates the history of this fruitful encounter between the companies, using recognizable icons to the consumers of both brands, like Vera – the copper still, soul of the SANTAMANIA urban distillery where all the distillates are produced – or the Tap Room from La Virgen, factory and true heart of the brewery from Madrid.
