Kirstenbosch summer concerts

The Kirstenbosch summer concerts have been a much loved summer music event in Cape Town for as long as most of us at Getaway care to remember. Some of the bands featured this season include Mango Groove, Freshlyground, Loading Zone & Johnny Clegg, The Parlotones, Jack Parow, Goldfish and many more. The season opened on 21 November 2010 so the shows are already in full swing, with the final musician taking to the stage on 3 April 2011.

kykNET Backsberg picnic concerts

Backsberg Estate Cellars, in association with kykNET, is holding a series of picnic concert events from 28 November 2010 to 13 February 2011. The concerts feature a fantastic musical line-up with some of South Africa’s best-loved bands and solo artists performing. Musicians include Laudo (aKing), Karen Zoid, Koos Kombuis and Wrestlerish.
