The Zoo Biscuits are a gang of like-minded wine producers passionate about making handcrafted wines—without the backing of big wine estates.

 

There’s no spittoon on our lunch table.

 

The acoustics are pretty good inside a crash helmet. As I scoot along the Winelands roads I find myself singing Gerschwin’s “Summertime (and the Livin’ Is Easy)”, from Porgy and Bess, at the top of my voice, albeit rather tunelessly.
