The first two candidates for the Jordan Wine Estate Women in Wine Initiative, launched in October 2012 in London by Kathy Jordan, have arrived in South Africa to experience and participate in the 2014 vintage at Jordan Wine Estate.

 

The Jordan Chameleon Bursary launched in 2007 and has funded several PhD students during the past 6 years.

 

In October 2012, Kathy Jordan of Jordan Wine Estate, Stellenbosch, South Africa, launched a two-fold wine mentoring programme aimed at women working in the wine industry, one for South Africans and the other for international candidates.

 

Fifteen farm owners and winemakers, who form the Premium Independent Wineries of South Africa (PIWOSA), descended on the UK last week to raise the profile of high quality wines being produced in South Africa today.
