Tesco has begun stocking two sparkling non-alcoholic wines that it says is “the nearest in taste to their alcoholic counterparts”.

 

A new report by Mintel shows that craft beer is increasingly becoming a popular choice amongst British adults, helped by the boom in the number of local micro-breweries. The report said 25% of British adults had consumed a craft beer over the past six months, with 35% saying such brews are worth paying more for. 

 

Batemans was named the winner of Sainsbury’s Great British Beer Hunt 2013, the second straight year that the company has won. The brewer’s B Block brand was named the overall wine, with Crafty Dan from Thwaites Brewery in Blackburn announced as the runner-up.
