What a disaster! Big rig carrying 43,000 pounds of wine overturns

A big rig carrying 43,000 pounds of wine overturned Wednesday morning after colliding with a minivan in Stanislaus County, according to California Highway Patrol. The crash blocked part of Maze Boulevard near South River Road, with traffic being diverted onto the right shoulder according to CHP.

The big rig was traveling westbound on Maze Boulevard when a minivan, carrying two people, pulled out in front of the truck at River Road. The big rig swerved to avoid hitting the minivan but it clipped the van, then overturned. Minor injuries were reported for all people involved according to CHP.

The truck was carrying a variety of wines from Oak Leaf Vineyards, located near Modesto. It was on its way from Ceres to the Bay Area to make deliveries.
