Every now and then a low budget movie gains cult status, with it drags actors, producers, directors and sometimes drinks along for the ride. This was the case when The Big Lebowski was released in 1998. The movie, by now legendary Coen Brothers, became the blueprint for slacking-off around the world.

The main character, played by Jeff Bridget, aka The Dude, can be seen constantly with a glass of booze in hand. The drink in question: White Russian. The Dude poured his favourite White Russian 9 times during the course of the film and in doing so propelled the drink into celebrity cocktail status.

Ingredients

2 parts vodka,
1 part coffee liqueur (such as Kahlúa)
and 1 part cream.

Instructions

Mix and serve over ice in a low ball glass.
