Additional to its heritage exhibition of JH Pierneef, the La Motte Museum opens a new art exhibition, entitled Ink on Paper. The exhibition that opens on 17 July includes twenty Rembrandt van Rijn etchings from the Rupert and Rembrandt Art Foundation collections. Pierneef is considered as one of the earliest print makers in South Africa and his linocuts, familiar to those who frequent the estate is central to the exhibition featuring 18 artists in total. The La Motte Tasting Room is the perfect place to hide from winter weather. With a welcoming fireplace and a new wine tasting offering, guests will quickly forget about the cold. Taste the estate’s classic collection, renowned Pierneef Collection or now also the limited releases such as the acclaimed Hanneli R, celebratory La Motte MCC and the delicately sweet Straw Wine. The Tasting Room is open from Monday to Saturday, 09:00 – 17:00.
