Capetonians and visitors to the Mother City will soon be getting their juniper fix at The Botanical Bar, set to open on
160 Longmarket Street towards the end of November.

The team behind the concept is the same guys who started Honest Chocolate Café, The Gin Bar, and Marrow. Eight months were spent honing their skills, concocting their own bitters, potions and aperitifs, with the aim of showcasing the Cape’s unique indigenous botanical flavours through food and drink.

While foraged-for fresh ingredients are the main event, there’ll be top-drawer beer, rum, brandy, gin, bourbon and whisky to accompany the fresh flavours, according to reports.
