Like Chianti? Now You Can Wear it on Your Sleeve

It’s now socially acceptable for men to eat quiche and drink rosé, so here comes the next step: a pink ‘wine taste’ jacket.

This snazzy his and hers jacket takes its pink tinge from…wine grapes.

The fabric is dunked in Sangiovese skins after Chianti producers have separated their newly made wine from its skins, and the jacket re-emerges with a candy floss hue.

Its maker is calling it a ‘wine-taste’ jacket, but would you wear it to taste wine?

Pastel-hues (think polo shirts with popped collars) peaked in the early noughties, so fashion-wise, it’s not on-trend but a color-matched garment has practical merit if you’re in the habit of spilling glasses of rosé down your front.

The vendor of the Vinosa jacket, Made in Tuscany, describes it as a ‘must have’ although for those members of the British wine trade with a penchant for bright red trousers, donning this jacket could cause some serious color-clash issues.
