As youths, Sukhinder and brother Rajbir learned liquid history at their parents? shop, The Nest, in Hanwell, probably the UK?s first Asian-owned off-licence. ?Ours wasn?t a typical corner shop,? recalls Singh. ?Harrods and Selfridges sent us customers.?
