The best way to ask for a beer around the world

For some, there’s nothing so satisfying as winding down a day on the road with a cold beer and a snack – especially if the temperature has been scorching.

Expedia has revealed the best way to ask for a beer and say cheers in 17 different countries around the world, alongside the typical snack that locals might have with their cold brew in a new infographic.

For example, in Thailand, you need to say ow bee-a neung krup (male) or ow bee-a neung ka (female) depending on your bartender’s gender.

Instead of beer nuts, you could get a range of different snacks, including salt-dried fish in Russia and soy beans in Japan. Read on to quench your thirst for beer-ordering knowledge.
