U2 front man Bono opted to enjoy lunch at La Motte’s Pierneef

Wanting to experience traditional cuisine, U2 front man Bono opted to enjoy lunch at La Motte’s Pierneef restaurant in Franschhoek during the band’s recent 360° Tour. He opted to dine out in the open, in sight of flashing cameras and gaping fans, but lately the restaurant has unveiled an exclusive, private venue perfect for intimate dinners – suited to those who prefer seclusion. At the newly unveiled Chef’s Table, a party of up to eight can enjoy an individually created six-course menu, including selected La Motte wines, in a beautiful corner adorned with Pierneef art. The experience is unique in that guests can plan their menu with chef Chris Erasmus as the creative guide.
