My translation “a trustworthy source in the industry confirms Birch’s claim that she hasn’t quit but added ‘she’ll still have her job next month, at least.'” Of course the rumour is that she will resign on April 1 and leave at the end of August. As one trustworthy source told me last night at the opening of the Vondeling tasting room “she didn’t resign, she was fired.”

Seems that a deal was struck and Su was thrown to the wolves in an attempt to save WIETA with VinPro CEO Rico Basson trailing around the Platteland begging farmers to support WIETA. Another trustworthy source said there is more likelihood of this happening than pigs flying.
