Celebrities Drank 10 000 Glasses Of Wine After The Emmy Awards

It turns out that the stars of the Emmy Awards are pretty big wine fans and when they descended on the after-party, bottles of Sterling Vineyards wines flew off the shelves. Emmy winners even got an über fancy $250 personalized bottle of Sterling’s 2015 Iridium Cabernet Sauvignon.

Sterling Vineyards just released stats about how they served the thousands and thousands of tired and wine-hungry Emmy guests, and it’s pretty clear that basically every celebrity left the Emmys, meandered over to Governors Ball, and immediately ordered a glass of their wine.

According to the Napa Valley winery and Emmy Awards sponsor, more than 10,000 glasses of their wines—including Sauvignon Blanc Chardonnay, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Platinum Cabernet—were served to guests.

To give you a better idea of what 10,000 glasses of wine looks like, it is about 1500 bottles. Sterling Vineyards reports that during the span of Emmy Awards season (from July to September), 5,388 bottles of Sterling Vineyards were uncorked…which is 32,000 glasses of wine.
